Kara Banner, D.D.S., M.S. Dr. Kara Banner grew up in Grand Rapids, MI. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan before attending the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where she received her D.D.S. Dr. Kara returned to the University of Michigan where she completed her pediatric dental residency and received her Masters Degree in pediatric dentistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is enthusiastic about working with kids and families to improve oral health. Dr. Kara loves spending time with her large family – including, to date, her 12 nieces and nephews. She also enjoys running, being active, and spending summers on the lake at her family’s cottage in southwest Michigan.
Riina Elsey, D.M.D. Dr. Riina Elsey is originally from Estonia, although she has spent her adult life in the United States and is very excited to call Michigan home. Dr. Elsey completed her Bachelor of Arts at Rutgers University, received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia and completed General Practice Residency at Tufts University in Boston. After five years treating an underserved population, Dr. Elsey decided to pursue her passion for working with children and she completed a two-year residency program receiving her certificate in pediatric dentistry at the Temple University. During the final year she served as a chief resident. Dr. Elsey has received numerous awards both at school and in practice, such as a Merit American Association of Pediatric Dentistry Student Award recognizing her achievement in pediatric dentistry during dental school and the Pinnacle award providing high quality care for underserved in her general practice.
What Dr. Elsey enjoys the most about being a pediatric dentist is the chance to help children overcome their dental fears by making every dentist visit positive and fun. Her goal is to create a relaxed environment suited to the uniqueness and personality of each child. Outside the office, Dr. Elsey is busy raising two young boys and exploring the sites and nature of her husband’s home state Michigan.
Jocelyn Robelli, D.D.S., M.S. Dr. Jocelyn Robelli was born and raised in Macomb Township. In 2010, she graduated with high honors from the University of Michigan where she received a bachelor’s of science degree in Movement Science. Following her undergraduate education, Dr. Robelli attended University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, obtaining her D.D.S. degree in 2014. She graduated in the top of her class and received several dental school awards in addition to being inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Robelli returned to the University of Michigan to complete her pediatric dentistry residency training and earned a Master’s degree in pediatric dentistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Michigan Dental Association. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, reading, traveling, and playing with her dog, Ginger.
Gerald M. Wesley, D.D.S. MS Dr. Jerry Wesley has been a Board Certified Orthodontist in Michigan for more than 20 years. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Detroit in 1985, where he received numerous awards and graduated at the top of his class. Dr. Wesley was awarded his Masters of Science Degree and Certificate in Orthodontics from Georgetown University in 1987.
Dr. Wesley takes great pride in treating all patients with an extreme attention to detail. He attends a variety of continuing education courses every year to ensure he can offer his patients the best treatment choices possible.
Dr. Wesley and his wife, Anita, both grew up and currently reside in Marine City and have three adult children. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys fitness training and golf.
